Celebrate National Slime Day, December 7th, with the Science of Chemistry. Have fun exploring the science of chemistry through slimy, bubbly, glowing and fizzy colorful fun!
Free family fun! Come joins us for Science Saturday, on the first Saturday of each month (September – May), 10am to 1pm on the Western Science Center’s piazza. Each month explore a different science theme with hands-on activities, demos, and experiments, all free for the whole family!
Science Saturdays are held in a partnership with the HUSD Wellness and Community Outreach Center. HUSD friends and family can make it a day with free admission into the museum on designated Science Saturday days!

For campers entering grades 1st - 3rd. Design, build and create with this fun camp! Jr. Engineers will discover the science behind different fields of engineering through hands-on activities and engineering challenges.
For campers entering grades 1st - 3rd. Don’t try this at home! Or maybe your parents would just prefer you don’t try it there. Now’s the chance to try those messes and let us worry about the cleanup.
For campers entering grades 3rd - 5th. Celebrate some of your favorite fandoms through science and engineering activities!
