Presented by Stacey Searl-Chapin, MSJC Political Science
Contrary to popular discourse, terrorism is not an ideology in and of itself, but rather a form of political violence different groups and ideologies use to achieve their goals. In addition to defining terrorism, this talk looks at the "logic" of terrorism, as well as the strategies used to achieve its goals. Finally, the question of what steps societies can take to address terrorism and political violence will be discussed.
