Fossil Friday Chats: Exploring Antarctica's Ancient Ecosystems

Virtual Lecture

Although we know the interior of Antarctica today as a world of ice and rock, its rich fossil record preserves some of the most dynamic and unique ecosystems in Earth's history. Join paleontologist Hank Woolly as he takes on us a stroll through deep time and discover some of the amazing fossil plants and animals that used to call Antarctica "home" millions of years ago.

Paleontologist Hank Woolly is from Denver, Colorado and grew up fascinated with dinosaurs, Greek and Roman History, and The Lord of the Rings. Hank was drawn to paleontology as a career because of the opportunities to work behind the scenes at natural history museums, as well as opportunities to collect new and exciting fossils in the field.
